Perform underground and open-cast drilling using drilling techniques, means and resources. Perform blasting in a simulated manner according to the instructions and technical documentation received, preparing, loading and initiating inert explosives. Carry out support in underground excavations, preparing and placing frames, scissors, anchors, anchor bolts and other systems for this purpose. Performing slope stabilisation in open-cast excavations, preparing and placing the appropriate systems. Carrying out concrete projections applying the necessary techniques and resources. Carry out boreholes, after preparing and fitting out the appropriate equipment for each operation. Collect cores and take samples carrying out xeotechnical and hydrogeological tests and measurements in situ and in the laboratory. Assemble and maintain installations, machines and equipment, carrying out operations of verification, adjustment and replacement of their elements, and restore their operation in conditions of quality, safety and respect for the environment. Carry out the excavation of underground spaces using mechanised systems of selective removal of material, for the extraction of mineral resources or for the construction of underground works. Operate open-cast excavation and earthmoving machinery following technical specifications, in safe and efficient conditions.

Technical degree in excavation and drilling.
This qualification allows direct access to any intermediate or higher level training cycle. It is also possible to obtain the Baccalaureate diploma by enrolling in and passing only the general subjects of the block of core subjects of the chosen Baccalaureate modality, and the subject of Galician Language and Literature.
