Through the adapted collective accreditation procedure for training, students who studied for qualifications at the former School of Stonemasons (now the CIFP de Cantería de Galicia) will be able to obtain certification of units of competence based on the number of years studied (from one to five completed years). All you need to do is fill in and sign the representation form, scan it and send it to the following email address: acreditacion.cifp.canteria@edu.xunta.gal together with a photocopy of your ID card, or hand it in at the centre’s reception desk to obtain the corresponding professional certifications.

Process information:
The collective accreditation procedure for students of the former School of Stonemasons will enable them to obtain units of competence (UCS) corresponding to the modules of the natural stone training cycle currently being taught at the CIFP de Cantería:
• Depending on the number of full years completed at the Stonemasonry School, a minimum of five UCs to a maximum of fifteen UCs can be certified (five full years of training: master stonemason).
• Students who have obtained the stonemason qualification will complete UCs that will lead to the professional certificate IEXD0108_2 Natural Stone Processing (RD 1217/2009, de 17 de julio, modificado por el RD 713/2011, de 20 de mayo).
• Students who have obtained the qualification of master stonemason will also complete the UCs corresponding to the professional certificate IEXD0209_2 Craftsmanship and restoration in natural stone.(R.D. 713/2011, de 20 de mayo).
These UCs may be validated by the modules of the intermediate vocational training cycle in natural stone, in accordance with the provisions of Article 14 and Annex IV of the Real Decreto 1587/2011,de 4 de noviembre, por el que se establece el Título de Técnico en Piedra Natural y se fijan sus enseñanzas mínimas.
